A Bad Day
I overslept and missed my train
slipped on the sidewalk in the pouring rain
sprained my ankle, skinned my knees
broke my glasses, lost my keys
got stuck in the elevator it wouldn’t go
kicked it twice and stubbed my toe
bought a pen that didn’t write
took it back and had a fight
went home angry, locked the door
crawled into bed, couldn’t take any more
過去形の発音の練習になるのですが、分かりましたか？
過去形 -ed にする時、単語の最後が sh, f, p, s ,k, gh, で終わる時は t ( Tu) と発音し、n, b, g, v, m, j, ng, r, l, z で終わる時は d ( Du)、t, d で終わる時は id ( i:d) と発音します。
例えば
(sh) Splash → Splashed (t) splæ’ʃ スプラッシュ → スプラッシュトゥ
(n) Clean → Cleaned (d) kli’ːn クリーン → クリーンドゥ
(t) Paint → Painted (id ) pe’int ペイント → ペインティドゥ
( カタカナではうまく表現できない音が多くカタカナ読みは良くないので極力発音記号を覚えましょう。 今回は何を言ってるのか記号で分からないという方が見えるかもしれないので、カタカナで書いてみました。 トランスレーターや英英辞書 – スピーカーマークをクリックして – で発音を確認してください。 )
